Geocadia drilling equipment at the Jordbro site
ProjectsProject summary

Our Jordbro project: about 2,000 metres, designed for about 1,500 MWh a year

At Catena's Jordbro property, Geocadia drilled the borehole with its own GM2000 rig. We planned the worksite around the property and drilled about 2,000 metres into the bedrock. A sealed, closed-loop collector in the borehole brings the heat up without extracting any groundwater, and feeds a heating centre where heat pumps raise the temperature for the building.

The system is installed and operating, designed to supply about 1,500 MWh of heat a year. Jordbro is one operating configuration: a new system is sized to your property's heat demand, the geology, access for the worksite and the connection to your building.
